Mmmm Good!

The first thing we did when we arrived in Port Au Prince last Thursday was visit Park Izmery, HotFutbol's home space.  The Park is in great shape due to the work of the grounds keeping crew.  The basketball court looks great with the poles, backboards and hoops mounted, and Ricardo was working on the surface being smoothed, sealed and painted with the lines for four sports.  We watched as kids poured in and practice began, and its invigorating to see how hard those kids work on their game.  I had the opportunity to step in and work with the U-15 boys on a piece of technical training, and had a lot of fun with that.  We stayed and watched the whole process of serving the players a meal after practice, and it's gratifying to see how that food completes the day for our players.  I cannot say enough about our staff in Haiti.  Ricardo, the coaches, groundskeepers, and program staff work hard, enjoy their duties, and give a lot of kids the best moments of their day.
